Literature Text

Tell me, what's the point
In smiling when nobody's there

Tell me, why should I laugh
If there's nothing to laugh about?

It's

Fine.

Hey, you'll make somebody
Happy seeing you smile

Hey, you're helping me by
Laughing with your heart

Just

That.

I know, you wonder sometimes
Why humans are here
At all.

I know, it can upset you
To think that there's no point
Not true.

We people
We are here, 'cause
There's no point at all.

We people
The reason "no point"
It's there for us to find...

I hope
You know?

That's

True.

The tears
That come to mind when you know
That someone's hurt.

The tears
So often held back
Will always help you through,

So,

Cry.

Cry.

Cry.

Cry.

Tell me, what's the point
In smiling when nobody's there

I say, to that first statement
That you are really dumb.

And then, after I say that
I'll tell you what I believe the answer is
And that answer for me

Is

This.

"When somebody smiles
You know that something's good.

When you know that there's a good thing
You ponder what it is.

When you find that there's nothing
You smile about just that.

Maybe nothing's good
But what does that matter?

After all, somebody's smiling
And that's so good."

That's

It...
I really put lots of work into this poem. I hope people can understand it, just a little bit, and maybe they'll find why they should smile for no reason.
Thanks. Keep smiling.

there are actually real psychological reasons and studies that prove that people are happier when they smile, but this poem says it better and with more emotion TwT
